Asteroid Belt

The largest collection of asteroids in the solar system between the orbits of Mars and Jupiter, a major source for mining resources and home to a myriad collection of habitats. References: EP 96-97, RW 16-29

  • Aspis: A former hypercorp station now controlled by the ultimates and used for recruitment, training, and strategic deployment. References: RW 20
  • Atlantica: A Cole bubble filled with water adjusted to resemble Earth’s oceans with a tunnel of air through the center axis. This habitat was built by the wealthy neo-whale Deep Current Black Killer of Squid as a haven for aquatic uplifts. References: PO 137-138.
  • Ceres (1 Ceres): A dwarf planet with a crust of ice that allows it to export water to other habitats and host aquatic life in the Hidden Sea under the surface. References: EP 97, RW 20-22
  • Extropia (44 Nysa): A neutral free city founded on archanocapitalist ideals which serves as a major link between Outer and Inner System communities as well as an innovative design center. References: EP 97, RW 22-26
  • Legba: The headquarters of the despised Nine Lives ego-smuggling operation, Legba is commonly known as “the Belt’s armpit.” References: RW 26
  • Nova York (Metis): A large nickel-iron and silicate asteroid known for its unusual architecture and low-gravity leaping between spires. References: EP 97, RW 26-27
  • Pallas (2 Pallas): This port in the Main Belt has excellent facilities and a large population, both mostly working for the Night Cartel. References: RW 27-28
  • Starwell: Headquarters, think tank, and armed fortress of the ExoTech hypercorp, Starwell is almost certainly full of valuable and potentially dangerous secrets. References: RW 28
  • Vesta (4 Vesta): This large but independent asteroid is the second-most massive in the Belt and an excellent neutral ground for meeting rivals or lying low. References: RW 29
  • Zombieland (349 Dembrowska): This automated Zrbny Limited facility is armed to the teeth and populated entirely by AI systems. References: RW 29
